The Crossroads Foundation is a Hong Kong based internationally active charity. It is primarily concerned with the distribution of excess goods from Hong Kong society and businesses to the needy. Approximately half of the goods so distributed are for destinations within Hong Kong, with the other half being destined for a variety of countries in Asia, Africa and Europe. In addition, it hosts a 'Global Village' experience, which organised a 'Refugee Run' activity at the WEF Davos event in 2009. The charity has been nominated as a global partner by the UNHCR. The charity also runs 'Global Hand' an international 'matching' service for matching company offers of help with NGOs and charities in need. Companies typically want to donate goods-in-kind (or services-in-kind) in order to help them meet their CSR objectives. This web-based donations clearning house is used by organisations such as Oxfam and within the UN to help take up corporate offers of help that they cannot accept themselves. The charity is based in Perowne Barracks. Website
