Crossing (2007 film)

Crossing is a 2007 Canadian independent feature film starring Sebastian Spence, Crystal Buble, Bif Naked and Fred Ewanuick. From the writer/director team of Roger Evan Larry and Sandra Tomc.
Synopsis
A romantic thriller, Crossing follows the story of macho Danarama (Sebastian Spence), who makes a deathbed promise to his father to turn their family from petty gangsters to upright brokerage owners. The only thing standing in Daniel's way is his newly discovered desire to dress up like a girl. Embroiling himself in an intense romance with a blackmailing prostitute (Crystal Buble), Daniel must find his way through a maze of disgrace and pleasure to discover where his true loyalties lie.

Crossing played in Canadian theatres in 2007 and was nominated for 6 Leo Awards, including Best Picture, Best Directing, and Best Screenplay. It sold in over twenty countries.
Creator
Roger Larry is a director, writer, & producer of film, TV, and new media who also makes visual art. His latest, Cool Daddy, is a feature documentary currently in post-production. Cool Daddy is funded by the Canadian Media Fund and Canada's doc channel. His most recent completed feature is the documentary Citizen Marc. It was critically lauded and had the largest theatrical release for a Canadian feature Doc in 2014.
Roger was a creative producer on contemporary artist Mark Lewis' first feature film Invention, which premiered to great acclaim at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2015. As a visual artist, Roger had three film installations that he co-authored with Mark Lewis screen in 2013 at the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA).
Prior to 2010, Larry directed, wrote and produced hours of series television primarily for the CBC. Most recently he was the show-runner for "X-Weighted Families" in 2010 making 13 X 60 Minutes that sold in over 60 countries. He received a Gemini nomination for his work on the show.
