Critical dissonance

First used by Abdallah Salisu, it is influenced by Leon Festinger's theory of Cognitive Dissonance and Milton Rokeach's theory of Closed Minds, Critical Dissonance occur when scholars are stuck in theoretical discussions for too long that they either ignore how the theories are supposed to manifest into practice or as the case often is, do not even attempt to think the of the limitations that the practical implementations of their theories may have.
This theory will be used to extensively discuss the state of mind that sometimes Afrocentric and Black Nationalist theorists find themselves in, in Abdallah Salisu's up and coming book entitled: "Being Afro-Austrian: Theories and Practices of Black Austrian Identity, Means for Combating Inequity". The book discusses the socioeconomic and political conditions under which people of African Descent in the country are often forced to reckon with.
