Craig Minervini

Craig Minervini is an American sportscaster based in Miami, Florida.
Career
Currently, he is the pregame and postgame host for Florida Marlins telecasts on Sun Sports and Fox Sports Florida, and also for similar programs of the Florida Panthers on FSFlorida. He also gives occasional play-by-play of the Panthers' games on radio.
On January 30, 2010, Minervini served as the play-by-play for the New York Islanders broadcast on , filling in for Howie Rose, who was ill.
Minervini is also a former sports anchor in the South Florida market (WTVJ) and has worked a variety of events on different broadcast and cable networks.
Professional wrestling career
In the late 1980s, using the stage name Craig DeGeorge, he was a regular on WWF Superstars of Wrestling, conducting live-to-tape interviews with the top talent of the then-World Wrestling Federation. In the early 1990s, he would go on to commentate for the Universal Wrestling Federation.
In 2001, Minervini became a play-by-play announcer for another Vince McMahon creation, the XFL, which lasted for only one season. Minervini's Marlins biography mentions his XFL work, but not his wrestling or stunt man career.
Personal life
He is a lifelong resident of Long Island, New York, and is a father of three children.
