CPJ Entertainment Center

CPJ Entertainment Center is a 250-seat Music theater located in Frankfort, Kentucky at 60 Old Sheep Pen Road.
Latitude: 38.176532
Longitude: -84.989961
It is used for music concerts, comedy shows, tribute acts, and other special events. The theatre was built in 1974 under The Name Country Place Jamboree, by KY businessman Robert Buffin. Built as a family entertainment venue in an area, that at the time, had few. All auditorium seats are theatre style and give an unobstructed view of the stage. During 2004 Country Place was bought by a local area musician and his wife, David and Tomiyia Barrett, in hopes of renovating this lovely building and keeping the dream of good clean family entertainment alive. With the renovating and facelift to the building also came a new name CPJ Entertainment Center, so as to incorporate many other acts and not just country music.
Since 2004 many acts both national and regional, have entertained at CPJ including, Stella Parton, Tim Michaels, Chris Cline, Joe Berry, The World Renowned Perkins Brothers and countless others. Most recently CPJ was host to the 2009 Kentucky Country Music Association (KCMA) Awards Show. Also CPJ has a weekly Saturday night program still incorporating the name Country Place Jamboree.
With full production facilities for video and audio the CPJ has become the regions go to place for many artists, both established and up and coming. A member of the Frankfort CUBE group for business promotion.
