Continental Wrestling Entertainment, commonly shortened to CWE, is a professional wrestling promotion established by WWE Hall of Famer, The Great Khali in 2015. The promotion is based in Jalandhar, Punjab, India, where Khali serves as the head coach. History Khali founded CWE in 2015 after retiring from the WWE in 2014. CWE is notable for producing many WWE superstars including Giant Zanjeer, Kavita Devi, Jeet Rama and Shanky, who all appeared on WWE Superstar Spectacle. Devi appeared at WrestleMania 34, being the first Indian women to debut on the WWE main roster and at a WrestleMania. Shanky is the first from CWE to appear regularly on WWE television, currently signed to the SmackDown brand. As of 2022, CWE has over 4.38 million subscribers and 1.31 billion views on YouTube, making CWE India's largest professional wrestling promotion. |
