Competition 10

Competition 10 or Competitia ZECE is a contest created by The Romanian Cosmonautics and Aeronautics Association, intended for school students. It consists of building a glider made of paper, cardboard and glue, with a prize of €10000.
Competition summary
The contest is aimed at promoting the science of aeronautics and stimulating students' passion for studying, experimentation and teamwork. It is named after Aurel Vlaicu's first flight in Romania on June 17, 1910.
In order to win the prize, a team consisting of members below the age of 17, must design, build and launch a glider airmodel no later than June 17, 2010. For determining the winner there will be several flight sessions. The challenge will be won by the team whose glider flies the longest time.
The challenge attracted the support of Romanian inventor Justin Capra and Commander George Paul Sandachi, the director of Romanian Museum of Aviation. Also, the winning glider will be exposed at the museum among other Romanian inventions and aircraft.
