The Companions of Jesus are an international inter-denominational community of Franciscans. Founded in 2004 in Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex UK. They were originally known as the Servant Companions of Jesus up and until a revision of the Community in 2009. Affectionately known as Little Sisters and Little Brothers, the Companions of Jesus seek reconciliation and healing to the divisions across the denominational divide. Through love, ecumenical dialogue, prayer and fellowship they seek to keep the unity of the Spirit, which is found in Jesus Christ alone, by the power of the Holy Spirit. Companions of Jesus live in the simplicity of the Gospel seeking to be instruments and channels of God's love and peace. Companion's of Jesus are inter-denominational, and are not an arm or outreach of any one particular denomination, fellowship, community or church communion.
