Comint consulting

COMINT Consulting LLC is an American communications and signals intelligence (COMINT and SIGINT) company, providing data collection, analysis, decoding and translation for transmissions in the RF (radio frequency) spectrumto the NATO and Allied intelligence community as well as to a wide variety of large international defense contractors and primes. They are based in Denver, Colorado.<ref name="breakingdefense.com"/>
History
COMINT Consulting was established in 2008 by SIGINT and experienced business professionals who were designing new approaches to signals classification and more rapid decode solutions to extract maximum intelligence information from signals of current and emerging threat interest to SIGINT professionals.
COMINT Consulting founders saw an increase in covert and clandestine activity in the RF spectrum as defense efforts worldwide were focused on cyber intelligence and as portable, inexpensive transmitters and receivers that required minimal user training became the communication tool of choice for illegal activities.
Krypto series
The Krypto series software was built on the principle that more precise intelligence could be available to Allied defense and protection agencies monitoring RF communications in high-risk regions. The result created a new signal classification technique to analyze and classify all signals, identifying specific equipment, variants, modes and users, then displaying only target signals of interest. To date, COMINT Consulting is the only SIGINT company offering this level of signal classification, which is 200 times more detailed than modulation recognition, which has been the SIGINT standard since the 1980s.
Krypto500 and Krypto1000 are SIGINT software application suites consisting of automated or manual receiver, software defined radio (SDR) or direction finding (DF) control, recording, classification, decode and parse routines and algorithms to match current modes in use throughout the world. New decoders and signals classification routines are added monthly.
Krypto500 is designed to process narrower signals from ELF-SHF (up to 48 kHz) and from one to many channels. The Krypto1000 suite processes wider signals, principally in the VHF spectrum and above (greater than 48 kHz) and can also process (demodulate-decode-parse) one to many channels.
The Krypto series software, which is compatible with most receivers, SDRs and DF systems, uses signals classification to categorize all RF signals, from ELF-VLF-LF-MF-HF-VHF-UHF- to SHF, with a focus on HF, VHF and UHF, which are utilized most frequently for RF communications.
