Combat Marine Outdoors is a non profit organization that takes Combat Wounded Service Members Hunting and Fishing. The program began back in 2005 with only a few members in Texas and today is spreading all over the country. Wounded Service Members at Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas have benefited the most from the organization but CMO is also reaching out to Wounded at Walter Reed, Balboa, and other military hospitals around the country. As of 2010/10/23 they have taken over 150 different Wounded in Action service members on outdoor adventurers. Most of the Wounded benefiting from this program have suffered serious injury from combat. Such as amputations, third-degree burns, and traumatic brain injury. Nearly all suffer from combat related PTSD. Some of the more notable ranches the group have hunted at include the King Ranch, Y.O. Ranch, and Bowman Lodge.
