CLYDE VAN BARREL Clyde Van Barrel, born March 16,1943 , is the founder of Clyde Van Barrel Investments, (http://www.clydevanbarrel.9k.com ), a real estate investment corporation in Nevada. EARLY life Clyde was born in in Balzers Leichtenstein, the oldest of two sons. His father , Harold Wilheim Van Barrel, was a native of Mannheim, Germany. Clyde Van Barrel was sent to the International University in Germany to complete his studies where he graduated in 1969 with a bachelors of Science in Economics and a masters in Advanced Finance. He later moved to Boston Massachusetts to become an assistant stock broker at the Boston Stock Exchange, where he learned the art of brokering stock purchases and the purchase of futures, mainly wheat and grain for residents of the Boston area. By 1975 he was a broker and by 1983, through successful speculations, had become a very wealthy man. He created the concept of opening foreign accounts overseas for the purchase of certificates of deposit for United States residents and charging a mere 3% of the interest gained on their investments. By 1985, Clyde was managing over 8,000 foreign accounts for clients throughout New England, and made over $3,000,000.00 merely charging 3% of the interest gained annually on each account. He retired from the Boston Stock Exchange by November 1985 and began his own brokering firm, VanBarrel Investments in Wilmington, Delaware.
