Clean Hydration is an international campaign started by students at Stanford University and the University of Pennsylvania for the 2008 Stanford Global Innovation Tournament. The student teams created value around water bottles through delivering messages across the world, promoting a new breed of lasting, reusable, antimicrobial water bottle, and inciting a revolution across multiple international cities in response to the water and sanitation crisis.
The video submission to the 2008 Stanford Global Innovation Tournament raises awareness of water issues surrounding public health, sanitation, and environment. These facts include: * 2008 is the UN International Year of Sanitation * Americans pitch into landfills 38 billion water bottles a year -- in excess of $1 billion worth of plastic.
