City Car Driving is an educational simulation video game, based on the Microsoft Windows platform, developed by Forward Development. It was released in 2007 in Russia and represented a three-dimensional simulation of a car in the streets of modern-day Europe. The game features two different maps, neither of which are based on particular streets or places throughout the world. This version was fairly basic and many problems were established. An advanced version was soon released. It was a massively improved modification of the first version - features as such as realistic physics and clutch pedal support were introduced and the city was given some minor refurbishments.In late 2010, an English version of City Car Driving was released
Currently Forward Development are still releasing new updates to City Car Driving. The features have evolved since it was released in 2007 so much so that users are now able to modify to game by adding more vehicles, changing sounds and altering the way that other road users behave. Also, it is now increasingly popular that the users playing City Car Driving are using devices as such as the Logitech G27 and Driving Force GT to make it easier to control the car, instead of using their keyboards.
User Modifications
Developers of City Car Driving, Forward Development, ensured that the players of the game had as much control as possible. In result, players are able to choose the colour of the cars, change sounds, alter the way that other road users behave and choose the order in which they perform tasks in Career Mode. There are certain modifications that can mod things like the density of weather or the pedestrians you see roaming the streets. In addition, players are also able to add different vehicles into the game so that they have a bigger selection of vehicles when playing the game. Vehicles by manufacturers as such as Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz , Toyota Land Cruiser , Camry , Corolla etc. Ford are available for users to add to the game.
Gameplay
When the player enters the game, they will see a button that reads "Free Driving". If the player chooses to play this mode, he/she will be able to choose from many different car colors and types, some have with different transmission options and feature a simulated Anti-lock braking system. The player may also choose what weather conditions he/she would like to drive in, how heavy the traffic is, and the amount of pedestrians roaming the sidewalks. When the player enters their car, they are able to turn on the engine, turn off the parking brake, buckle their seat belts, honk their horn, and more. The game features most of the features you will find in a modern vechicle.

Forward Development has created a Forum in which players of City Car Driving can find new modifications, discuss with other players about their favorite part of the game and upload videos on how to install modifications and devices as such as steering wheels and gear sticks. This forum is based upon the popular forum software Joomla. Players who would like to obtain posting privileges would need to register for an account. If they decide not to, they'd still be able to browse for new modifications and check the latest news of City Car Driving.
Current Version
The current version of that game is 1.5.0. In the latest update, the company added more realistic sounds and a brand new city for the users to drive in. Though small, this New City was a big hit with the players. In previous versions, the sounds lacked brake squeal, which many people wanted. The developers answered and now, the game features realistic ABS and brake squeal.
