CHTY was a Canadian English language television station broadcast in Inglewood, Ontario. However, the station is a community access channel rather than a broadcast station, so the CHTY calls are used solely for branding rather than identification. In the 80s the call sign CHTY officially went to Aboriginal Peoples Television Network in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. Content Aired The station was known for broadcasting local community events and news in the surrounding area of Caledon. It also aired a programming block of movies every night from midnight to morning, hosted by program director Taylor Honeyfield, called "TJ's Basement." Operation in the 90s At one point the station owned the domain name, CHTY.com but is no longer in existence. Reasons why the station halted broadcasting in 1998 are rumoured to be a mix of financial debt and the failing health of station manager/owner, Peter Johnstone.
