Christian Simpson (born 31 January 1973) is a British actor, writer, and composer. He is known for his work on various film franchises, including Star Wars, Harry Potter, and the Dark Knight trilogy. Life and career Simpson was born in Wimbledon, London. His acting debut was a role as a guard in the 1998 miniseries Merlin. In 1999, Simpson played Lieutenant Gavyn Sykes in the film Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace. In 2001, he was a stunt double for Brendan Fraser in The Mummy Returns. He has also played minor roles in several other popular film franchises, and is a writer for the official Star Wars website.
