Christian Dannemann Eriksen (born February 14 1992) is a young Danish footballer currently playing for Dutch side AFC Ajax. He is an attacking midfielder with a high level of technique. He is currently playing for the Danish under-17 national team and is together with Nicolai Boilesen the the most promising Danish football talents born in 1992. He has recently been nominated Football talent of the year by the Danish Football Association. He has previously been invited to training sessions by major European football clubs including AC Milan, Chelsea FC and FC Barcelona and is being compared to current Real Madrid midfielder Wesley Sneijder. On October 17 2008 it was announced that he had signed a 3-year contract with AFC Ajax. The transfer fee received by OB is estimated to €1,000,000. Earlier years Christian Eriksen started playing football in his hometown Middelfart before his third birthday. |
