Chrissy Eve Bernal (born January 16, 1978) is an American author, motivational speaker, fitness expert and activist, best known for her children's book "Sienna’s Locket". She is the mother of a rare set of identical twins where one is a Primordial Dwarf, Sierra and Sienna. Biography Bernal was born in Houston, Texas to Steve and Valory Moore, both of whom are native Texans and are still married. Of primarily English descent, the family believes their roots can be traced back to The Mayflower. She was raised in the suburbs of Houston, Texas where she attended Langham Creek High School. She graduated high school after only three years, and received a Houston Press Scholarship, on which she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications/Journalism at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Career Bernal began writing as a young child and received accolades for many of her pieces. In junior high, her love for creative writing led her to participate and be awarded in Poetry and Prose competitions. In 1997, Bernal began her journalistic career as a Copy Editor at the university’s newspaper, The Bells. Within a year's time, she was promoted to Editor. She also participated in a Prose competition where she won 1st place for her interpretation and performance of Steve Martin’s Bad Dog from Pure Drivel. During her time at the university, she also wrote, directed and acted in a one-woman drama inspired by the life of Nellie Bly. She has always had an affinity for the works by writers such as EE Cummings, empowering writings of public figures such as Maya Angelou and journalistic pieces by Nellie Bly. Her children’s Sinny-Size book series, was inspired by her daughter, Sienna, who is a Primordial Dwarf. Bernal wanted to create a storyline that would embody her daughter’s spirit, self-confidence in a fun and entertaining way, to inspire and capture children’s imagination. Her book Sienna's Locket is the first in the Sinny-Size series, followed by Dozer and the Horse Ride. Bernal's Living Life Sinny-Sized, is an account of the birth of her twins, the discovery of Sienna's condition and the challenges that followed. Her speaking engagements and additional writings, including her upcoming novel Out of Mind Experience and her popular blog "Having it All", are fueled by her life experiences, including the tumultuous start to adult-hood, being a step-parent, overcoming obstacles, parenting twins, competing in physique competitions and woman empowerment. Bernal and her family have been featured in ABC's 20/20, Cooper Anderson, Inside Edition, as well as international documentaries. Causes Bernal is an activist and supports the LPA amongst many other associations. She is the founder of "Equal Restroom Access for Little People" and in this role has accomplished implementation of units for sink reach in major places as Houston's Bush International Airport and Houston. Bernal is a member of the Parent Advisory Board for the "Potentials Foundation" and a Mentor with "Mentorship for Moms Who Live Fit". Personal Bernal currently lives in a suburb of Houston, Texas with her husband, Joey, twin daughters and her Great Danes.
