Chris Hartman

Chris Hartman is the first director of the Fairness Campaign, a community organization aimed at legislatively prohibiting discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation.
Biography
Hartman is a Louisville native who graduated from St. Xavier High School in 1998 before graduating from Bellarmine University in 2002 with a concentration in drama and liberal studies. After serving as the Director of Philadelphia’s grassroots fundraising for the Democratic National Committee in the 2004 U.S. presidential election, he went on to serve as an AmeriCorps Volunteer In Service To America in St. Louis in 2005. Hartman is a producer and founder of Project Improv* St. Louis and holds a Master's degree in Drama from Washington University in St. Louis. He served as the press secretary for Congressman John Yarmuth's 2008 campaign. before accepting his current position as director of the Fairness Campaign.
