Chot Ulep

Chot Ulep (born as Ramoncito Dayawon Ulep) is a Filipino songwriter, bassist, businessman and financial trader. He was born on July 15, 1974 in Quezon City, Philippines.

Chot Ulep wrote the entire album of Ninni, the first Filipino artist signed by the then merger of OctoArts EMI Philippines and Virgin Records in 1999, with the help of Record Producer, Label Manager and former True Faith keyboardist, Francis "Kiko" Guevarra, Jr.
Before his deal with Octo-Arts EMI and Virgin, Ulep formed the band called rAiNCrOwd in 1997, opening the shows for major Asian bands as Eraserheads and True Faith. His untimely decision to finally settle in the United States in 1999 after signing with OctoArts EMI and Virgin Records broke the band's promising future in the Philippines. In 2005, "Pananagutan", a song written by Ulep, and one of rAiNCrOwd's unreleased single included in Ninni's album, was remade by Nikki Gil (EMI Philippines) under her self-titled album.
Although some of Ulep's songs are heard on the Philippine radio through the performance of other artists such as the band, Shamrock, much of his work remained unheard.
In October 2006, Chot Ulep joined one of the most prominent bands ever to emerge in the Philippine music scene, Introvoys. During his official tenure with the band, he helped co-produce their album, "New Beginnings".
Ulep now pursues a career in business and finance, and continues to do music as a hobby.
