Early Life and Education
Samson Lim Choachuy was born in Cebu, Philippines, into a multi-faith family. His father was a Protestant and a 32nd-degree Freemason, while his mother was a Buddhist devotee of Kwan Yin. This exposure to multiple religious traditions influenced his spiritual explorations.
Development of Pranic Healing
In the late 1970s and 1980s, Choa Kok Sui conducted research on subtle energy fields and healing techniques. This work led to the creation of Modern Pranic Healing. This system claims to use prana (life force) to cleanse and energize the body's energy field, purportedly accelerating physical and emotional healing. His first book, The Ancient Science and Art of Pranic Healing (1987), outlined the methodology for practitioners.
