Charlie Kaye

Charlie Kaye is the executive producer of CBS Radio News.
Charlie Kaye began his broadcast career in 1965 as student news director at Hofstra University's WVHC (currently WRHU, 88.7 FM) and has been in radio journalism ever since. Kaye joined CBS News in 1982. Prior to that he was news director for the New York based all-news station, WINS 1010AM. He also served asnews director of WHN Radio in New York and has been an anchor, reporter and talk show host at several other stations. In his current position, Mr. Kaye helps oversee CBS News-on-the-hour broadcasts on the CBS Radio Network and other CBS News radio programming.

	I was one of Charlie's engineers at WHN. I cut and carted his tape. I worked the board in the control room that put his newscasts on the air. There was only one way to work with this guy. It had to be right or nothing!! I was a pleasure to be around someone with such high standards. Any slackers in the place were rewarded with his quiet stare and his pen drumming on his always present clipboard! Guest
