Charles William Ledbetter

Charles William Ledbetter (April 5, 1922 - July 23, 2003) was one of the Tuskegee Airmen, retiring from the United States Air Force as a master sergeant after 30 years of active service.
Career
He participated in World War II, the Korean War (where he flew night missions in B-26 bombers as an engineer and gunner as part of the 3rd Bomb Wing), and in Vietnam.
Ledbetter was later a journalist for Black Voice News and involved in local politics.
Awards
Congressional Gold Medal awarded to the Tuskegee Airmen in 2006
Death
He is interred at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California.
