Charles Buko

Charlie Buko (born Charles Coffey Buko) is an American recording artist, songwriter, record producer and actor. He is the CEO of recorded music for Hit-A-Lik Entertainment.
Early life and career
Charlie Buko was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The youngest son of American parents, Buko traveled the globe as a child, living in Europe and Asia. After temporarily settling in Las Vegas in 1992, Buko returned to Ann Arbor in 1993. Once back in Michigan, Buko spent nearly every weekend at his grandmother's house in Detroit's Lincoln Park section as his pre-teen and adolescent years were riddled with behavioral problems. After moving out on his 18th birthday, Buko founded Hit-A-Lik Entertainment; he signed Dotoz and Young Frizz while creating music with Drew Money. He has opened shows for Obie Trice, Twista, AZ, Cormega and D12.
2005-07
At 19 Buko moved to New York City in pursuit of rap music. Spotted at a Manhattan talent showcase in 2005 by K.D. Wilson (sister of Bryce Wilson of Czar Entertainment) Wilson arranged for Buko's first single "Runnin' Game" to be produced by Spot "Speez" Henchmen (King Day/Czar Entertainment).
In 2006 Buko moved to White Plains NY to finish a BA in Media at State University of New York at Purchase. At SUNY Buko created, produced and directed The Charles Buko Show. In 2007 Buko appeared on MTV's Total Request Live in a freestyle battle against Philadelphia rapper Tone Trump. He was declared the winner by Cipha Sounds; youtube "fame" ensued.
2008-10
In 2008 Buko demolished the competition in front of a crowd of 600 at Manhattanville College. The battle was judged by Boston MC Termanology. Buko became known for his freestyle ability and sardonic punchlines. He remains unbeaten during his professional career.
By 2009 Hit-A-Lik Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer John O'Brien arranged for a collaborative project between Buko and Drew Money. Drew and Buko began work in South Beach studios in Miami in early 2009. The recordings they created would become Buko's first original album release.
In 2010 Buko released the The Charles Buko EP and scored a minor radio hit with the single "Ride With A Pimp." Buko also made waves with the street anthem "Trap Like Me", produced by Drew Money. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zddUiZ2Wp7M
