Change of Command is the twenty-first episode of the first season of . Synopsis After berating Frank in surgery for his incompetence, Hawkeye learns that his patient is failing to get well. He obsesses over the case, staying nights in the ward, becoming snappish with anyone who speaks to him, and finally moving out of the Swamp, which makes Col. Blake concerned. He tells Hawkeye that he's only upset because he thinks he's perfect, and that he's ruled by his ego. He then runs into Maj. Houlihan, who says that he may have missed some shrapnel fragments. He rebuffs her, but later wakes her to tell her that she's right and that he wants to look again. He finds the fragment and fixes it. Frank, walking in on the operation, says that "Anyone could have missed that." Hawkeye thanks him, then compliments Maj. Houlihan. |
