Chandler Morgan is an American news presenter and reporter. She presents the daily newscast as the main news anchor on the weekends for WTVM in Columbus, Georgia. She also makes multiple news reports daily during the week. Career Before moving to Columbus, Morgan worked as the main anchor at her college news station, News Watch Ole Miss, during her time studying at The University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi. Morgan previously interned with WSB-TV in Atlanta, Georgia during the summer of 2016. Morgan sites WSB-TV as the news station she watched while growing up, inspiring her to pursue becoming a broadcast journalist. Morgan officially received her Bachelor of Arts degree, with a major in Broadcast Journalism, a minor in English and a specialization in both Public Relations and German, from the University of Mississippi in May 2017. While in college, Morgan received multiple awards and nominations for her journalistic work, including a third place award for the Associated Press in Louisiana-Mississippi for best college news station feature news story. Over her multiple semesters in college, Morgan held numerous internship positions including interning with CBS Sports, Rivals.com, NBC's The Voice and The Marietta Daily Journal. In December 2016, Morgan, with all of her broadcast journalism credit requirements completed, left college a semester earlier than her intended graduating class to fulfill a full-time offer at WTVM as their main solo weekend anchor and weekday news reporter.<ref name=“WTVM_ChandlerMorgan_2017”/> Personal life Morgan grew up in Marietta, Georgia and graduated from the private college The Walker School in May, 2013. Morgan has one brother, and her parents divorced at the age of six. Morgan is an active member of the Society for Professional Journalists, and is a past member of Gamma Beta Phi Honors society and Order of Omega. Morgan is an alumni of Alpha Omicron Pi, Nu Beta chapter.
