CGI animal adventure movies

CGI Animal Adventure Movies is a sub-category or nickname given to computer-animated films that incorporate plots or storylines featuring animals as the protagonists, antagonists, or simply as use a majority of animals.

History
Though many films animated or non-animated have used animals as characters, a vast majority of CGI films use menagerie as the main characters.

In 1998, Dreamworks Animation released the first full-length CGI motion picture with animals as the main subject entitled Antz. One month later after the release, Pixar to, went on the fun of using animals as main characters with its release A Bug's Life.

There was a lull in the production of these types of movies from 1999-2003, until in 2004, when it started to become fashionable and economically viable to produce all-CGI children's movies.

Then, after a successful year with these movies in 2005, an explosion of these films occurred in 2006, with 10+ in one year, and became a huge fad.
