CD DVD printer

CD DVD Printers come in all sizes and shapes, and prices can range from $100 to $10,000 or more. There are also variations of the same units that can not only print on the discs but burn them at the same time; these are usually referred to as CD/DVD Publishers.
Many online businesses operate fairly successfully writing photos and videos to CD or DVD for their clients. Some add a service where they clean up the photos, removing problems such as red eye before creating these discs. The biggest problem with these services is that they use standard CD/DVD burners attached to their computers. These CD/DVD burners do a reasonably good job but lack the professional finish that can be attained using a CD and DVD Publishing system.
Good quality CD and DVD publishing systems write to disc using highly accurate technology capable of transmitting images and text directly to the disc's surface. Modern CD/ DVD printers use writing systems which are fast and designed to last. Some of the more popular industry models are the Hewlett-Packard LightScribe burners and the DYMO DiscPainter series of burners.
Good quality CD and DVD printers are using existing off the shelf inkjet technology. Most of the low cost CD/DVD media inkjet printers are based on HP printers. Major modification is in the area of loading and unloading CD/DVD media mechanism.
In 2008-2009 major CD/DVD printer manufacturers are developing their printers based on HP 5600 models.
