Causing death

Causing death is ending the life of an individual. Killing generally has an equivalent definition, but is often used synonymously with murder and may be disregarded in a neutral point of view due to negative associations.
Legality
The unlawful killing of another human being with "malice aforethought", as defined in common law countries, is generally referred to as murder.
This state of mind distinguishes murder from other forms of unlawful homicide (such as manslaughter).
Ethics
Causing death has been regarded as equivalent to not save a life, although inherent differences have also been claimed, notably one claiming that the duties of not to take life is more stringent than the duties of beneficence, in particular, the duty to save life.
There is ongoing debates regarding the justification of euthanasia, which is the practice of causing death in a manner which relieves pain and suffering.
