Background
The documentary is among the first motivational films from India featuring interviews with prominent personalities from diverse fields. One of the reasons for its creation, despite the existence of similar films internationally was gaining insight into principles for success from prominent achievers unrelated to the self help industry. Anubhav Srivastava believed that knowledge from such people would be considered more credible among the masses. With the exception of Shiv Khera, all of the interviewees have attained eminence in fields unrelated to personal development.
Anubhav Srivastava created the concept for the project in 2007, at the age of 21, while pursuing his studies at a university in New Delhi. The project was originally conceived as a possible entry to SIFE, an international inter-university competition. However, it was rejected at the university as the implementation of the idea was not considered feasible. After the early disappointment, he then decided to pursue the film independently although he was initially doubted due to his young age, lack of relevant contacts and prior filmmaking experience. The shooting for the film began in late 2007 with the first interview being that of Kiran Bedi just prior to her retirement from the Indian Police Service. However, most of the other interviews have been conducted in 2008 and 2009.
