CardRecovery

CardRecovery is a memory card data recovery software developed by WinRecovery Software, that recovers lost photos and videos from camera memory cards.
Digital camera usually stores the photos and movies that it takes on a memory card. Memory card data loss may be caused by an accidentally deletion, memory card re-format, media error or memory card corruption. Popular memory card types include SD Cards, CF Cards, xD-Picture Cards, Multimedia Cards, and Memory Sticks. Almost all memory cards in camera use a FAT file system. File deletion or formatting on the memory card may just removes the file record from the "File Allocation Table" but the file content still remains on the memory card, so "undelete" is possible in most cases. For the corrupted memory card, memory card recovery software like "CardRecovery" will repeat the reading attempts on the "bad" sectors or bypass the inaccessible sectors to recover the photos or other files from the memory cards.

The first version of CardRecovery was released in 2001. The latest version of CardRecovery is v6.00, which was released in 2011.
