Cannabis Jesus theory

Aside from the Mythic Jesus and Divine Jesus theories, there is also the Cannabis Jesus theory. This is the theory that Jesus was an advocate and user of the Cannabis plant, the flowering buds known as Marijuana in particular. In a spiritual sense, these substances are known as "entheogens", or what Jesus is alleged to referring as "magical plants" in the original Bible.
The name "Jesus Christ" derives from Greek for "one who is anointed". Anointing rituals had been practiced in Jewish culture for centuries. The anointing oil used in the ceremony for Jesus was known as the Chrism, a mixture herbs and spices including 5 pints of "kaneh-bosm". In Hebrew this translates as being the flowering tops of cannabis plants. The recipients of this ritual were literally drenched in this potent mixture, becoming intoxicated and enlightened through the fumes.
Other mention of drugs in Biblical scripture is considered through the translation of the word "witchcraft". This term derives from the ancient Greek "pharmakeia", which can either be interpreted as "medication" or "drugs" (pharmacy), or "magic" (sorcery). Much of the original Biblical text used the word "sorcery" instead of "witchcraft", which could be more easily associated with the meaning "drugs" or "drug use".
It's argued that the Biblical concept of the Tree of Life is actually a metaphor for the marijuana plant. Also that every mention of a medical practice or healing was through the use of marijuana or some other entheogen. When Biblical characters were asking to be forgiven of their "sorceries", they actually meant their "drug use".
