Canadian National Federation

The Canadian National Federation is a Canadian political advocacy organization. Called the "CNF", for short, it was created in early 2004 to push for national sovereignty, responsible business practices, ethics in government, and electoral reform. The Federation made a niche for itself by going where others would not. It was responsible for the research behind the first "Progressive Report", which looked at the official policy variations within the Canadian progressive movement (including the Green Party of Canada, the David Orchard Campaign for Canada, the Canadian Action Party, and the Canadian Democratic Movement). The CNF's second defining lies in the use of web tools to facilitate action, rather than discussion. The association was founded by Tristan Alexander Downe-Dewdney. The CNF's first Vice President was Aleks Thornton. Later, Bill Downe joined as the CNF's second Vice President. |
