Can-Am Packaging Equipment Corporation is a Certified Minority Owned Business that specializes in converting equipment for the Folding carton, Corrugated, commercial printing, and graphic Finishing industries and offers a single source to meet manufacturing, project development and training/service for advancing innovative packaging solutions. Its world headquarters are currently located in Pelham, New Hampshire.
History
Can-Am Packaging Equipment Corporation was founded in 1986. The company was created from the profit of one sale of a used folder gluer, and began selling only used converting equipment.
The name "Can-Am" originated from the fact that most of the used equipment was purchased in Canada, and then sold into the United States.
In 1994, Can-Am Packaging Equipment Corporation formed a partnership with Kohmann GmbH of Mettmann, Germany in order to become the exclusive North American distributor of their product, the Kohmann window machine. The Kohmann window machine uses Servo technology and has capabilities to produce high-speed standard Cellophane cartons and heavy gauge panoramic windows for the Folding carton and Corrugated industries.
Then in 1995, Can-Am formed another partnership with Duran Machinery of Istanbul, Turkey to be the North American representative of their Omega folder gluers. Omega folder gluers utilize Servo technology for the high-speed production all designs of folding cartons.
Since that time, Can-Am has sold numerous window machines and folder gluers to North American folding carton companies and corporations. Companies they have worked with include large packaging corporations such as Rock-Tenn and Graphic Packaging.
