CaliRock

CaliRock is a term encompassing rock music coming out of California starting from the early '90's. The music is exemplified by The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Phantom Planet, Incubus, Sugar Ray, and Weezer. The music is characterized by a strong male lead voice, and has long roots in the California tradition of The Beach Boys and The Eagles.
