Calexico Carne Asada is a Mexican food cart owned and operated by 3 brothers from the Imperial Valley region of Southern California. The cart is named after the city of Calexico, the site of a major border crossing into Mexico. Calexico was named one of the top three food carts in New York at the 2006 Vendy Awards, an annual event honoring the best street food in New York City. The cart has been featured in The New York Times, The New York Daily News, Saveur Magazine, and many online food blogs. The cart is located in the Soho district of New York City, on the corner of Prince & Wooster Streets. |
