Cale Ramaker is an American television news anchor for FOX-TV affiliate station WOFL-TV, Channel 35, in Orlando, Florida.
Biographical sketch
A native of Bellevue, Washington, Ramaker graduated Cum Laude from the University of Arizona in Tucson. He studied in the Honors College and was also a Regents Scholar.
Cale first became a news anchor while working for WSYM-TV in Lansing, Michigan. Cale won a number of investigative awards and his reporting on the U.S military's anthrax vaccine reached Congressional hearings. Cale more recently worked as an evening anchor for KSTP-TV in Minneapolis and as an anchor and reporter for WHO-TV in Des Moines.
Personal life, hobbies and interests
In his private time, Cale spends his time mentoring in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program. He also manages a scholarship named after his grandfather, a former National Big Brother/Big Sister of the year. The scholarship awards money to a boy and girl every year based on essays they write. Cale is a lifelong fan of the Denver Broncos, Seattle Mariners and Washington State University Cougars. He can often be found at their "big" games.
