C-Tools 2.0

C-Tools 2.0 is a personal digital assistant software package designed to help doctors and their staff prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. It was distributed by the American Cancer Society and was funded by their Futuring and Innovations Program. C-Tools 2.0 was created in order to fulfil one of the American Cancer Society's primary goals, to provide up-to-date cancer information in as many ways as possible. It provides instant access to recent cancer information, free of charge to anyone in the health care field. After several months of beta testing, it was released for download on February 8, 2005. C-Tools 2.5, an updated and expanded version for Palm OS and Windows Mobile, was created for the American Cancer Society by Barry Tolnas and released in 2008, but as of April 2012 there are no references to C-Tools on cancer.org. |
