Buddy Gask

Bill 'Buddy' Gask was a British musician. He was born in 1945 in Leicester and sadly died in 2011 in Spain. He was 'Sorely Missed' by his family and friends.
He was best known for being the backing singer in English pop band Showaddywaddy.
Biography
Early Life
Buddy was Born and Raised in South Leicester in Leicestershire on a winter's day in 1945. His parents had had mostly British ancestery, his Mother being all English decent and his Father having some Scottish decent. His birth name was William Gask.
Billy and the Fenders
Gask's first band was called "Billy and The Fenders", in which he founded and formed in 1965. Note that in 1964 Gask changed his name from William to Billy and his pathway to fame began when The Fenders was fully formed in 1966. When he was a teenager at the age of 16, he met up with classmate Malcolm Allured and he made friends with him. In 67, he stopped running Billy and The Fenders and made up The Golden Hammers with another friend and local musician, Rod Greaves.
Their alternative covers were "Heartbeat", ", "Say Mama" and "Ill Never get Over You".
