Bryce Andrew Chandler (b. Nov. 22, 1989) was born in Memphis, TN, and is an author of novels for children and young adults. He has written two books on the Civil War: A Courier for Stonewall and The Orphan and the Beaten Drum. Chandler writes from a historical stance with a unique Southern and Christian perspective. Chandler won the Arkansas Sons of Confederate Veterans Essay Contest in 2003 (The Stonewall Built by a Carpenter), 2004 (Abraham Lincoln Unveiled), and 2007 (If My People). Chandler is also a living historian and dresses like a drummer boy from the past to educate people about Southern history. He lives in Arkansas.
