Bryan Berghoef

Bryan Berghoef is an American politician, pastor and author who was the Democratic candidate for U.S. Congress in the 2020 United States House of Representatives elections in Michigan for the Second District. He is also a pastor of the Holland United Church of Christ, a UCC church in Holland, Michigan, which he founded in 2016. He also has written two books on "pub theology."
Personal life and education
Boerghoef grew up in Coopersville and Sparta. He graduated from University of Michigan with a BA in English Literature in 1998, and received a Master of Divinity from Calvin Theological Seminary in 2005. He is married and has four children. Berghoef also stated that he wanted federal policy to address climate change, He is pro-choice, opposes corruption in politics, and opposes family separation at the US-Mexico border.
