Bruce Whealton

Bruce Whealton is an American researcher, designer and developer. Much of his work has been on the Web, including contributions to the Semantic Web and related projects. Bruce Whealton, also is co-editor with Jean Arthur Jones for the online Word Salad Poetry Magazine. As part of his work with Word Salad, he has created and maintained one of the first online magazines that has been in publication since 1995. Bruce Whealton lives in North Carolina. He has seen many of his poems published in various books, journals, magazines and on the web.
During the 1990s Bruce Whealton worked in the mental health field, working primarily with persons with serious psychiatric conditions, specifically Dissociative Identity Disorder, also known as Multiple Personality Disorder. A prominent clinician in the field, D. Corydon Hammond:B.S. M.S. Ph.D gave a speech on the topic of hypnosis as a treatment for Multiple Personality Disorder, called "The Greenbaum Speech," which became a source of information which therapists, trained in hypnosis, like Bruce Whealton, could help clients to work through the experiences.
Some time after that, Bruce Whealton, returned to research and development in the field of computer, web, internet and related services.
