Broken: The M Series

BROKEN: The M Series is the first of several novels by author Ryanne Anthony. It was released in 2013. The M Series: MARIAH was released the same year. The story follows a marathon family therapy session lead by Amy Victoria Fields, who aims to find out a marriage can be saved after infidelity.
Plot
The book focuses on the marriage of Mandy and Joshua Cannon. Joshua had an affair that took his wife by surprise because she was under the impression that they were both happy and satisfied in their marriage. The affair brought to the surface, trust issues, not only with Joshua and Mandy , but with the entire room of participants. Through the guidance and patience of Amy Victoria Fields, the group opens up and it’s clear to see they will do anything to get the family back to the way they were. That proves difficult to accomplish when more secrets and truths are revealed. One marriage in particular is almost ripped apart during the session, and it’s not the primary couple.

Characters
* Dr. Marcus Cannon and his wife, Mariah.
Dr. Marcus Cannon is a pediatrician and his wife, Mariah, is a house wife and mother to almost six children, all with Marcus.
* Matthew Cannon and his wife, Madison.
Matthew is a former FBI agent and current P.I. His wife, Madison, is a national television journalist.
* Evelyn Turner-Collins and her husband, Russell.
Evelyn is a nurse-manager and her husband, Russell, is a current FBI agent. They met due to Matthew, who was an agent with Russell.
* Joshua Cannon and his wife, Mandy.
Joshua is CEO of the family business and Mandy is an independent interior designer.
* Dr. Thomas Harvey III and his wife, Monica.
Tom is a cardiologist and his wife, Monica has a secret job that takes half of the family by complete surprise.
* Ethan Harvey and his wife, Alissa.
Ethan and his wife are both successful and feared attorneys.
* Lisa Harvey-James and her husband, Nathan.
Lisa is a nurse and Nathan is a trauma physician.
* Dr. Thomas Harvey, III and his wife, Rachel.
Thomas is a plastic surgeon and Rachel is a housewife.
* Dr. Stephen Cannon and his wife, Katherine.
Stephen is an Internal Medicine practitioner and Katherine is the retired CEO of a family business. Their son Joshua now holds that position.
* Lillian Harvey-Reed and her husband, Caspar.
Lillian is also a therapist and Caspar is an FBI agent.
Dr. Fields' husband, Timothy Fields, also a therapist, joins in the session and helps his wife get to the root of a major problem with one of the other couples.
According to Ryanne Anthony's website, there will be seven books in this series. Broken is first and the next five will be 'written' by characters whose names begin with the letter 'M': Mariah, Marcus, Madison, Matthew and Monica. The last in the series is called Mended.
