Brent Winters

Brent Allan Winters (born 1954) is an American geologist, lawyer, author, and teacher. Winters grew up on a farm north of Moonshine, Illinois in Clark County. He served as Dive Team member, U.S. Navy Mobile Diving Unit 1, and aboard carrier USS Coral Sea, worked as a geologist and mine operator, and ran for U.S. Congress. As a lawyer, Winters has briefed cases in the United States Supreme Court, argued before the jury and appellate courts (both State and federal) in four States, and has represented clients in six foreign countries. Brent and his wife of thirty-five years have eight children and four grandchildren. Brent is also founder of Winters Inn of Court and author of Excellence of the Common Law: In Light of History, Nature, and Scripture (2010); Constitution of the United States & Declaration of '76: A Common Lawyer Comments—Clause by Clause (2010); Don’t Talk to the Police—It’s the American Way: the Real Reasons Behind Our Right to Stay Silent (2011); and Juror’s Handbook (2010).
