Brent Timothy Gette (born May 31, 1979 in Arlington, TX) is a former professional hockey player of the now defunct Atlantic Coast Hockey League Playing in 2004 for the Orlando Seals who won the President's Cup. He spent three years bouncing around from team to team as a journeyman forward. He was best known for his thunderous hits and fearless style willingness to fight whenever called upon. His career was prematurely ended by an injury sustained to his hip. College Career was playing at University of Delaware, where he left after just one semester to turn pro, his style was largely ineffective in college as fighting in not allowed in the ACHA. Junior While playing in WSHL, he was voted captain of the Utah Jr Grizzlies, where he led the league with 250PIM. He was notoriously nicknamed the "Texas Hammer" after a fight during the later stages of his career where he mercilessly beat a competitor so bad he was forced to be carried off the ice.
