BottleRocket Script is a freeware application designed to replace Notepad. It was first revealed at the Menifee Software Development Convention in May 2009. History BottleRocket Essay The original name for Script was BottleRocket Essay, and was going to be a basic text editor for nothing more than creating text files for personal use. Kyle Nollet of BottleRocket Advanced states that he "was only going to use it for myself, not anyone else." He later states that he received "multiple requests for a LUA script writer to use instead of Notepad" which of course has almost no features useful to a programmer, and thus, BottleRocket Script was born. Future releases and service packs Kyle has also announced that BottleRocket will be releasing further service packs and editions of Script. He states Service Pack 1 will be a stepping stone for Script 2010, which is said to be re-designed. Service Pack 1 is due for release July 20, 2009. Service Pack 1 Service Pack 1 is said to have multiple bug fixes and added features, such as QuickSave and a support file. Service Pack 1 is due for release July 20, 2009 Script 2010 Script 2010 is said to have a re-designed interface, trademarked as BottleRocket Menu 2.0. Even though it is the "2010" version of the software, it is supposed to be released in late October/early November.
