Does “Alexandros”  really mean  “The defender of Mankind”?  This translation showed up long after the death of Alexander the Great.    It is a meaning given to the name by the Greeks to honor their Defender, but not proven to be a real word.  If you do some research, both the Greeks scholars and western writers associate Alexander with the idea of this Child who was born in a dream.    The following phrases are found in all writings about Alexander the Great.

We also have writings that suggests that “Alexander” was the son of Zeus, which in this case, we have a mortal, Alex’ mother, an Illyrian, mating with an Immortal, Zeus, which in the ancient times, was believed to be accomplished in the dream.  Repeated again with Jesus and his mother Mary, being accepted by many worldwide as the son of God.  Here is the only direct translation of Alexander the Great.
