Borislav Dzodzo

Borislav Dzodzo, born on 17 Octobar 1922, Cavtat, Region Dubrovnik, Yugoslavia. Is a Serbian former University Professor, Mechanical Engineer, writer and scientist. He married Radojka Armenko-Tomic at Petrovac na moru on 1 st September 1949, and had two children, a son: Milorad Dzodzo, b. 8th March,1953 (PhD in Technical Sciences), and a daughter: Ksenija Dzodzo-Rujevic, b. 19th Dec.,1955 (M.S in Law)
Education: Elementary school Zepce (1929-1933); High school, Sarajevo (1933-1941) Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade (1945-1951); doctorate in Technical Sciences, University of Belgrade, 1961.
Positions held: Institute of Mechanical Engineering, Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts: researcher (1951-63), scientific collaboration (1963-70), scientific counselor (1970-72); Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade: associate professor (1972-75), Head of Chair of Naval Architecture (1974-78), full professor (from 1975)

Main contributions: On a formula for eigenvalues of linear dynamic systems damped both externally and internally (Belgrade, 1964); Transfer matrices for beams loaded axially and laid on an elastic foundation (London, 1969); ON a method for the determination of eigenvalues by transforming the characteristic determination into a continued fraction (Belgrade, 1979); On a method for officiant calculation of natural frequencies of torsional systems (Belgrade,1979)
