Blue Vector, founded in 2002, deploys sensor automation platforms, putting RFID, barcode, temperature, GPS and motion sensors to work for businesses in the pharmaceutical, retail, distribution, and manufacturing industries. These platforms can be used as a standalone solution or as an adjunct to current enterprise applications. The company is headquartered in Mountain View, California.
System Components
These systems eliminate the need to maintain, configure and update central servers.
Global Manager
The Global Manager can be used to large geographical areas and contain a Web-based interface. The system is also able to monitor the networks health automatically.
Network Manager
The Network Manager is used to communicate between back-end systems. This system helps the communication by automatically sending configuration files and driver updates to each automation point.
Edge Manager
The Edge Manager is what physically connects to the RFID readers, barcode scanners, displays, etc. This system is able to work even if the network may not be.
Mobile Edge Manager
The Mobile Edge Manager is a battery powered version of the edge manager. The system is able to work off of WiFi, when in range, and can automatically recharge its battery when AC or DC power is available.
