Bliss of Being Human: Science and Religion for Self-Realisation is a collection of short articles on science-religion dialogue by Kuruvilla Pandikattu. Most of the articles of this book were originally published in different newspapers. After focusing on the need for such a dialogue for the improvement of the society, it focuses on the the biotic coincidences and on the anthropic coincidences. It is a good introduction to a 4 credit course on science-religion dialogue for undergraduate levels. Table of Contents Foreword Introduction Part I: Interfacing Science and Religion A. Dialogical Existence B. Chaotic Reality C. Human immortality D. Creative Word Part II: The Biotic Coincidences Part III: The Anthropic Coincidences Conclusion Bibliography Glossary Index Extracts "So religious believers need to go beyond merely proving or arguing fr or against the existence of God. Belief in a living God has to transform my existence here and now. It has to inspire me to take the world - of sciences - seriously, admire this world and commit myself to the others who are part of this world. "The Other" can never be encountered except through he others." (p. 200) "Scientists do need to base their quest for progress and search for truth philosophical. Whether they name this principle that fosters their search for God or not is secondary. In the context of the conflict that has raged for so many centuries, should not the scientists open themselves to a life-force that permeates the whole of reality, including their own lives?" (p. 200)
