Black meets white

Black meets white (or White meets black) is a recent term to describe a movie that is centered about the culture shock between a White European-American and a Black African-American (sometimes, the white is replaced by an Asian), where the White tends to be represented as serious and conservative and the Black as jolly and streetwise. It is especially typical of buddy cop films, and has almost become a synonym of the genre.
